Did you know One Kids Place accepts students for high school cooperative education, undergraduate placements and Master’s level practicums?

One Kids Place strives to provide every student with an optimal experience while supporting their goals and education path. Our team strives to partner with responsible, engaged and motivated students to work with our interdisciplinary teams and gain the knowledge and skills needed to prepare them for their chosen workforce.

Highschool Cooperative education students

One Kids Place accepts 2 high school level students per semester who have rehabilitation career goals. Students will have the opportunity to experience many aspects of the organization while working towards their high school diploma.

Undergraduate and Master’s level students

One Kids Place offers clinical placements in the following disciplines:

  • Behaviour Therapy
  • Communicative Disorders Assistant
  • Community Leadership Experience (B.Ed requirement)
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Occupational/ Physiotherapy Assistant
  • Physiotherapy
  • Social Service Work
  • Social Work
  • Speech Language Pathology
  • Therapeutic Recreation

Due to the high demand of requests, we encourage potential applicants to reach out as early as possible.  Although we can not always support every applicant we will endeavour to accommodate as many requests as possible each term.

*Please note that all applicants are required to provide proof of at least two (2) doses of the COVID19 vaccination as well as a recent (no older than 6 months) Vulnerable Sectors Check.

Once accepted, students will be required to complete our general onboarding training prior to beginning their placement.

One Kid Place offers many volunteer opportunities for students who may require additional prerequisite community volunteer hours.
