National Therapeutic Recreation Month
February is National Therapeutic Recreation Month. Therapeutic Recreation is a service that supports children, youth and their families to access, enjoy and fully participate in leisure activities while increasing independence. One Kids Place offers treatment, education and recreation participation to enable children and youth with physical, cognitive, emotional and/or social limitations to acquire and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
