Autism Summer Camp in Huntsville

Our One Kids Crew summer camp program is running in Huntsville from July 2 to July 5th. Campers will participate in a variety of exciting activities with a focus on building social skills.  

Autism Summer Camps

Autism Summer Camps, in memory of Jack Lyons,  will run from July 2 through to July 26 at our Nipissing site. These specialized camps are run at no cost to families thanks to the generous donations of our community.

National Non Profit Day 2024

National Nonprofit Day is commemorated on August 17 each year to recognize nonprofit organizations’ ongoing efforts to serve the local community. If you’ve ever volunteered, you’re well aware of the significance of these charitable organizations. One Kids Place would like to recognize the efforts of all our invaluable volunteers every day and the amazing community champions for their loyalty and support of all our children, youth and families.

September is FASD Awareness Month

FASD stands for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. It is a lifelong disability that affects the brain and body of people who were exposed to alcohol in the womb. Each person with FASD has both strengths and challenges and will need special supports to help them succeed with many different parts of their daily lives. FASD Awareness Day

September 9 is FASD Awareness Day The first ever FASD Awareness Day was celebrated on September 9th, 1999 (9/9/99). It was decided that the 9th day of the 9th month of the year would serve as a reminder that no amount of alcohol is safe while pregnant.
