ONE KIDS PLACE – Children’s Treatment Centre
provides rehabilitation and related support services for children and
youth (up to the age of 19) and their families living in the Districts
of Muskoka, Nipissing and Parry Sound. All staff will provide
service within an interdisciplinary team environment committed to
family-centered practice.
POSITION:
1 Physiotherapist
(Full-Time
contract until June 30, 2011)
LOCATION:
North Bay/Parry Sound Sites

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Physiotherapist provides assessment, consultation, clinical
diagnosis and treatment planning to assist children and youth to
achieve their optimum rehabilitation potential in all areas of physical
function including the prevention/delay of physical dysfunction and
injury. Note that supervision of therapy assistants and family
education are important components of the position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Physiotherapy
- Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
- Related work experience within the past 2 years in a pediatric/health care setting with children and youth with special needs
- Working knowledge of community resources and supports within the Districts of Muskoka, Nipissing and Parry Sound
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills/Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Valid Ontario driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Computer competency in word applications and Internet
- Good attendance/Work Record
- Bilingualism (English/French)/ADP authorizer is an asset
COMPENSATION: Excellent salary and benefit package (This will be a union position)
