One Kids Place is on the move… In the summer of 2009, we will be relocating to our brand new, 41,000 sq. ft. facility on McKeown Ave near the North Bay Regional Health Centre. Since we first opened in our temporary location on Stockdale Road, demand for our services has steadily increased.  One Kids Place serves a geographic area including Muskoka, Nipissing and Parry Sound, in which there are 47,495 children & youth aged  0-19.

• In 2007, we treated 1,500 kids and anticipate treating double that in the future.
• There are 400 children/youth on our waiting list to receive services.
• We have outgrown our existing space!

The new One Kids Place will be a model of partnerships and accessibility that will:

• Allow children/youth to be treated in their own communities.
• Relieve families of the burden of costly, near-constant travel for treatment.
• Offer parents access to care and services for their children under one roof.

Essential Partnerships

The new state-of-the-art facility will provide a one-stop shop for kids and families with special needs. Thanks to strategic partnerships developed between One Kids Place and other organizations and agencies, there will be a wide range of treatment options available under one roof. Our partners in the new facility will include:

• One Kids Place staff;
• Paediatricians & Visiting Specialists;
• Residents and Students from the Northern Ontario School of Medicine;
• Nipissing Association for Disabled Youth (NADY);
• School Readiness Program in partnership with local school boards
• Best Start and Ontario Early Years early learning programs.
